The brief
Stanton Hall is an 18th Century Follie, built as a hunting and occasional temporary residence. But, in the late 19th Century developed into a Nursing home up until 2017. This process removed a significant amount of heritage and adapted the interior into multiple rooms. Removing much of the charm and character.
The current plan is to remove the modernised interior and sensitively return it to its former glory, working with local authorities and national statutory bodies.

The solution
The solution is to work holistically with all parties and develop a scheme that ensured a modern finish and living environment, but reflective of its historical provenance, as a Beacon building in the village of Stanton by Dale.
The result
Whilst the Hall is underway the project shows huge potential, to transform it into a period family home. The work across statutory bodies has been positive and balanced and more recently resulted in supporting the process to a successful grade re-listing.
